Motion Sensing Controller Plans for Microsoft’s Xbox 360

If the rumors going around are true, then it is possible that Microsoft’s Xbox 360 could be getting a motion sensing controller by the end of 2008. As of right now nothing is certain, but it seems that this new sensing technology will be an add-on to the current 360 controllers.

According to Xbox Family, Microsoft has partnered up with a Gyration, a company out of Saratoga, California, to be in charge of adding this technology for the Xbox 360.  Gyration is also the company who provided the design of the very popular Nintendo Wii remote.

Though there is no confirmed date of when this technology will be available, or if in fact it will become available, it gives hope for those who want more advanced interaction with their Xbox 360 games.  Hopefully soon more details will become available from Microsoft on what this add-on might look like and when it can be expected.  Until then all we have are rumors!
