Open Source Living is a site that offers tons of free, high quality, software to anyone on the internet. This web site was started by a guy named Andrew, who is a post grad student from London, United Kingdom. The site started out with just a simple list of free software, and now has grown to over 130 open source software listed.
Below is a list of open source software that you can expect to find at Open Source Living:
- Web++: operating systems, web browsers, etc.
- Video: DVD burning, editing, media players, etc.
- Audio: audio players, recording, mp3, etc.
- Graphics & Photos: editing, 3D modeling, etc.
- File Transfer: file sharing, peer to peer, etc.
- Documents: note taking, word and office suites, etc.
- Web Development: MySQL, PHP, web references, etc.
This is not a complete list, but it does give you an idea of the types of software that they have listed that is of no cost to obtain. They also have forums where you can go to discuss some of the projects Open Source is working on, as well as the software they have listed on their site.
Note: This is not an advertisement post. I stumbled on this site and thought that the information and software provided would be of benefit to anyone interested.

Thanks for posting this!! I have been trying to find some good free software for about a week with no luck.
I have been especially looking for the web development and file sharing software.
I knew there was plenty of open source software, but it is nice to see a site with all (or at least a large portion) of them listed.
Viva la Open Source Living!
