Flock, The Social Web Browser, demonstrated at the MySpace developer platform kick-off how they plan to use their social web browser to integrate with the new MySpace Developer Platform. Users will now be able to surf the internet with their friends from MySpace, all within the Flock browser.
CEO of Flock, Shawn Harding, said “Our users want to be connected with their favorite friends across all the sites they visit,” and that “MySpace has been the most frequently requested social networking service by our users and we are excited to be able to offer it to the Flock community.”
Flock is built on Mozilla’s Firefox architecture, which is a definite plus in my opinion. The purpose of Flock is to give users a more personal feel and interaction while searching the web. Users get to share information with each other, hence why it is called the Social Web Browser. By including MySpace in their service, Flock has added to their social networking services list, which also includes Truveo, YouTube, Flickr and Photobucket.
Flock can be downloaded for free at http://www.flock.com.
