Bebo Expands Social Networking to Mobile Phones

Bebo and Intercasting Corp, which is a leading platform that helps connect mobile carriers with social networking sites, have announced a partnership which will allow Bebo to offer social networking to their 40 million plus members on their mobile phones. Through this partnership Bebo.com will be available on a dedicated mobile application, as well as through picture and text messaging.

This was announced at the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and is proof that Bebo is trying to offer its users access on the go. Ziv Navoth of Bebo said at the conference that “Bebo users increasingly want to be able to connect on the go. This partnership will extend Bebo’s mobile offering and benefit our members by giving them access to the site anytime, anywhere. We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our users experience and increasing our mobile offering will create a greater platform for self-expression for Bebo users.”

Bebo has turned themselves into the world’s leading global Social Media Network since they were founded in 2005, and by making their way into the mobile market they should be able to keep themselves there. That is, unless something goest wrong in the rumored sales talk that is going on over Bebo.
