Social Gaming Network Game On! Creates Open & Free Social Gaming Platform

Today the Social Gaming Network (SGN), which is currently the largest social gaming network, announced the launch of their social gaming hub, which is essentially an open and free social gaming platform for game developers. This new platform will give developers free game installs through opening its API, and will allow them to elevate their games by using the gaming graph’s network effect.

“With thousands of games already launched it will get increasingly hard to get noticed in the crowd. SGN’s mission is enable gamers easy access to all the best social games in one place and empower developers to leverage our gaming graph to grow their games across our network,” said Shervin Pishevar, CEO and co-founder, SGN. “By opening our network and platform, we are allowing game designers and developers to leverage our large network and engagement features to benefit their own games. The development of this unique gaming platform will help developers take advantage of the ‘gaming graph’, elevating the opportunity for installation at no cost to the developer and placing them in a stable of the best, unique and engaging games on the network. The world’s first “gaming graph” will cross link all SGN Gaming Hub games within our dynamic and fast growing network.”

The Social Gaming Network gaming hub will allow users to aggregate their games and game feeds, which will essentially give users a convenient and easy way to access their games and friends’ game profiles. Currently SGN can be found on many social networking sites, including Facebook, High-Five, Bebo and son MySpace.

I hope that this means better games will be coming out for me to use on Facebook and MySpace.
