Usream TV, which is a popular live video broadcasting platform, said today that they will be providing Digg, a top news community site, with live video streaming capabilities. According to the press release, this new capability will allow Digg “to enable a new series of virtual Digg Town Hall Meetings.”
The first meeting of this series will include Digg founder Kevin Rose and CEO Jay Adelson on Monday, February 25th. The purpose of this meeting is for Kevin and Jay to talk about updates on Digg activities, as well as addressing any topics and/or questions by the Digg community.
Founder of Ustream TV, Brad Hunstable, said “given the unique approach Digg takes towards community driven content, it makes perfect sense that they would offer live broadcasts as a compelling new way to bring the community together,” and that “we’re excited to provide the means for Digg to further engage in discussion with their members through the power of live Web video.”
