Maestro- Social Music Platform Letting Users Listen to Public Playlists

Maestro is a new social music platform web start-up that provides its users with the ability to listen to public playlists. In short, Maestro provides you with remote access to your own music library by using any web browser. With this you will be able to “stream your own music, listen to hundreds more playlists, and have continuous play from page to page.”

Also, with Maestro you can share and send your music to your friends, find out information on the music you are listening to and stream your playlists on social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. If you find some music that you like you can purchase it through Maestro.

Ok, now for how Maestro works. First off you download Maestro Connector, which is an application that stores your digital music collection, to your computer. Then direct Maestro Connector to the folders on your computer that contain your digital music. After that all you have to do is leave Maestro Connector running, and then you will have access to your music from any web browser.

Here is a list of what Maestro can do for you:

  • Stream your music from home to work or computer lab
  • Pull up your playlists at a party (without bringing your computer)
  • Listen to your friends latest playlists
  • Purchase MP3s of the songs you hear from anyone’s playlists
  • Manage your playlists online
  • Stream your playlists to your MySpace or Facebook profiles
  • Find news, photos, bios, and discographies for any of your music or your friends music as you listen to it.
  • Send new playlists to anyone

So, if you want access to your music all the time then you might want to give Maestro a shot. Let me know what you think about the service, especially if you have used it before or plan on using it.

Now this is definitely something I think I can use. I have been wondering if there was a way to get my music on the web to listen at work. I guess now I have my answer. Thanks for posting.

I’ve been using this service for a while now and I love it. I have access to my entire library from anywhere in the world. A way to explain it is Facebook + iTunes = Maestro.

With Maestro you can have all the social aspects as you do with Facebook plus access to your music, plus access to your friend’s playlists, plus access to all the public playlits in the network. Virtually unlimited music w/out ever bringing a single song with you! Sign up and look me up “danesc”
