Mytopia Opens MMO-Style Online Games to hi5 Members

Mytopia announced today that members of the leading international social network, hi5, can now play MMO-style online games with their friends across the internet and on other popular social networks, including MySpace, Facebook and Bebo. All members have to do is log in to the social gaming community on hi5 to enjoy games like Sudoku (addicting), Spades and Chess.

Statement from CEO of Mytopia about the addition of hi5:

“Bringing Mytopia to hi5 users is part of our mission to help the world play together – from any social network, any widget, any online entry point,” said Guy Ben-Artzi, founder and chief executive officer of Mytopia. “Today, online social networks are isolated from one another. Members of different communities really can’t socialize with each other freely. Mytopia and others in the games industry are changing that. We’re building bridges, uniting these islands of isolation to form a larger, converged community that welcomes Internet users from every corner of the modern web.”

With the addition of hi5, Mytopia now reaches almost 300 million people across social networks, allowing them to play games and chat together, in real time. Through Mytopia users can also chat and play with people using iGoogle Gadgets, Apple Dashboard Gadgets, Microsoft Vista Toolbar Widgets, Mytopia.com and Yahoo Widgets. Let’s see who is going to be the next to join in on the trend to help bridge users on the web.
